Hip Stir’s desire for adventure and freedom takes her where few people dare to go. Whether it’s traversing the planet or trailblazing in male-dominated industries, Hip follows her curiosity and passion wherever it leads her.
As a sonic journalist, Hip offers snapshots of her extensive travel experience through a variety of genres and moods. Taking listeners down a rabbit hole to the underground, she crafts one-of-a-kind tracks and DJ sets for every moment.
Opening for acts like Machinedrum, Aluna, Oppidan, Max Low, and Poolside, Hip’s compelling artistry and leadership of BABE (Bad Ass Bitches Elevating)–a femme and non-binary DJ collective–have led to an official SXSW artist invitation, an appearance in Rolling Stone, a nomination for Best Underground Promoter, and a coveted slot on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic with Novena Carmel. After crossing 23 borders on 4 continents, releasing through her own record label (BABE Records), and continuously committing to gender equity in the music industry, she will never stop finding new doors to open.
